This course provides students with the background to prepare to take the ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector examination. Topics covered include: Duties and responsibilities of the Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector, safety on the jobsite, effective use of reference materials, reinforcing steel/stressing tendons, background of pre-stress and post-tension methods, study techniques, research and reference of the Building Codes and related materials that pertain to pre-stressed concrete, researching problems, industry terminology, procedure for plans revisions, job site protocol, properly preparing and completing stressing sheets, writing daily reports, writing non-compliance reports, writing final reports, structural plans reading as it pertains to pre-stressed concrete, test taking strategies with applicable techniques, licensing procedures and jurisdictional guidelines.
Must possess Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector Certification for employment, not for taking course.
